A platform is only as good as the estate it lands in
Workato connects your SaaS tools to your systems of record and runs agentic automation in the flow. The value is not the connection. It is what gets posted at the end: a transaction your finance, supply chain or operations team can stand behind.
We are an enterprise ERP partner and a Workato partner, in that order. We design for the constraints of a system of record: master data rules, permissions, retries plus audit. Infor M3 is where we learned that discipline. It is the least forgiving place to learn it.
Workato's centre of gravity is finance and insurance. Ours is supply chain.
Most Workato practices grew up in finance and insurance, including invoice handling, period close, claims and onboarding. We deliver those use cases too. Our added depth is on the physical side of the business: inbound orders and changes, supplier acknowledgements, delivery confirmations, goods receipts, deductions and claims.
These processes are harder because one transaction can affect inventory, cost and a delivery promise at the same time. The pattern also covers master data, stock counts, freight invoice checks plus quality and compliance paperwork. This is where manual interpretation becomes a governed transaction and where many operational hours still sit.
These are examples, not a menu. Any rule-bound process that ends in a transaction is a candidate. We will tell you when a process should be left alone.

How the work becomes a governed transaction
1
Intake
Pick up the input from one defined channel: an inbox, a document store, a portal, a partner feed, an event from another system.
2
Read and classify
Identify what it is, pull the fields that matter, flag anything that looks wrong.
3
Validation
Check every field against your master data, customer or supplier rules plus tolerances.
4
Human approval
Route the edge cases to the person who owns the decision, with the full context attached.
5
Posting and audit
Land the transaction cleanly in the system of record. Log who acted, on what data, with what decision.

The same five steps run for every process we automate, which is why the governance holds up when you add the second one.
Why this is safe to run in production?
Verified identity plus role-based control on every automated action, under the user's own permissions.
A person in the loop wherever judgement is needed.
A full audit trail: who acted, what data, what decision, what posted.
ERP-safe execution: rate limits, policy controls plus exactly-once posting, so a retry never duplicates a transaction.
Workato publishes its security posture in its Trust Center.
If your ERP is Infor M3
Workato sits alongside Infor ION and never replaces it. The architecture question, what ION already covers and what Workato adds on top, is answered in full on our Automation and AI page.

How we work with you
Advisory
Pick the one process worth automating. Size it honestly.
Architecture
Design the flow, the controls plus the audit trail before anything is built.
Build
One contained process, one production flow, typically in weeks not quarters.
Managed support
We keep the recipes running as the systems change around them.
